If you have pets who shed, read this!!

If you have ever been to my house, you probably still have white dog hair on the clothing that you were wearing.  Who am I kidding?  If I have ever even hugged you, you probably have white dog hair on what you were wearing!  My dogs shed like no other!  It’s really insane.  We can daily sweep up enough dog hair to make a brand-new chihuahua.  It gets really frustrating-especially when the dogs disobey and get hair all over the sofa!

I have tried tons of solutions to this problem-putting this coat-protecting additive on their food, brushing them every night, washing them weekly, vacuuming the furniture, steam-cleaning the furniture, using a lint roller, using masking tape, using duct tape even.  I’ve bought all kinds sponges, brushes, and gadgets trying to get dog hair off of the furniture.  But I’ve finally found the answer!  A pair of yellow cleaning gloves.  No, really, I’m serious!  I read about it in some magazine(not sure which one, so I can’t give them credit), and thought, “Why not?  It can’t hurt!  And I’ll only be out a few dollars if it doesn’t work.”  So tonight I pulled out the gloves, and ever-so-skeptically started to wipe.  And sure enough, all of that hair(and some dust, too-yikes!) just pilled up like last year’s wool sweater!  I knocked it off onto the floor, swept it up, and I’m done!  I was so excited, I couldn’t stop!  I did every piece of furniture upstairs!!  If I weren’t so exhausted from the crazy day we had, I’d do the downstairs furniture, too.  I guess there’s always tomorrow, right?

I’m going to try this tonight! What a great idea- why didn’t I think of this before. My jacks shed everywhere! The Dyson does a pretty good job of vaccumming it up, but you hate to pull it out everyday!

Much appreciated – Suzy leaves Golden Retriever hair EVERYWHERE…. the steam vac also pulls it up – I noticed that during my cleaning yesterday (got the vac for Christmas – so excited – how sad…)
