Confession: I LOVE birthdays.
Not just mine, but anybody’s really. I love gifts-buying and getting. I love cake and ice cream(if it’s good cake and ice cream). I love hearing people who don’t usually sing sing “Happy Birthday” at the top of their lungs. I love the fact that every person gets a day to celebrate all on their own(unless you’re a multiple, I guess…but that’s different…multiples have some kind of bond so they don’t mind sharing birthdays, right??).
So…on to the point: MY birthday. I turn 29 today! Yay for me! I know people say at some point birthdays become not a big deal, or that you don’t want them to come or whatever. I hope I’m never like that. I want to always love my birthday, or as I like to refer to it: Queen Bridget Day. Seriously, that’s how I have it written in my calendar.
Several folks have asked me what I want for my birthday. And while I love to get stuff, I saw a great idea at The Spohrs Are Multiplying that she stole from her friend Casey. Since most of you are not able to sing “Happy Birthday” to me in person or make me or cake or at least buy me some cake from my favorite cake place in the world, The Boll Weevil, I thought it would be fun to have a “comment cake”. That’s right! All you have to do to make me happy is leave me one little comment. But this isn’t all about me, you know? I also want to hear something exciting about you-something nobody else knows, some great deal you got at TJMaxx, some big event in your life, or something just down-right funny. Hurry up, stop reading and start writing!
Happy Birthday! I had to be sure I was the first to post on the day, so maybe I’ll be going to bed soon. You already know all my secrets, so I don’t know what else to post that would be new information…

Happy Birthday. Only one more year to enjoy your 20s. I am the most comfortable with myself and my age that I have ever been in my life. If I want to do something or achieve some goal, I go for it!!!!
Feliz Cumpleanos! Ummm… I would say I hate studying for the bar exam, but then that’s not really an unknown fact. The good fact is that I get a break for dinner and movie tomorrow night with other bar sufferers…I mean studiers (are those even words????).

Happy Birthday!! I suffered today like Donyale but in a little bit different way, I had to go sit in class for 8 hours! An unknown fact about me that it is about time I share with you is that when we were younger and I guess you were still a senior in high school I loved watching you sing in the choir. I will even admit to the fact that I looked up to you.
Happy Birthday Bridget! I hope you are still enjoying your “special” day. Now for sharing…I actually did find some good bargins at the mall before seeing you today 🙂 I wish you and Marshal the best in the start of what I’m sure will be a life full of much joy and love. If you were in the military, I’d give you advice, but since you’re not, I’ll just share that life as a married couple/family does get much better after residency. May your future be full of many more “special” days! I’ll miss you and your smile!

I will tell you that I found the greatest deals at Hobby Lobby (something I’m sure you already knew) to decorate my house. Since you guys are in the process of moving, that one little thing that you think will just spruce up the kitchen, living room, dining room, etc. will probably be at Hobby Lobby 🙂 Anyway, have a great week and hope your birthday was fantastic!!

I am so sorry that this particular bite of comment cake is a bit late…but it is still fresh…here is my news: today I got a new kitten! He is so adorable. I am still working on a name…he is black with green eyes. He and Penguin are not exactly friends yet, but they do like playing with each other’s toys. I hope you had a great birthday and I am so sorry I didn’t get to talk to you last week. When you get a new phone, I will call and catch up.
I have been VERY busy with house guests and not read this website in many days, as you can tell by the date. Anyway, I love your birthday as well. It was the day God blessed me with YOU!! I am SO proud of you.
