Today I didn’t:
- go to the grocery store
- finish my home pedicure
- do the dishes
- clean my closet
- wash clothes
- keep my phone with me the whole day
- cook
- put on makeup
- wash my hair
- mark much off my to do list
Instead, I:
- said a prayer for my mom, who was having a procedure done today
- scared the bug spray guy who came unannounced(use your imagination…)
- read books with the kids
- got the two books I’d ordered for my book clubs
- read a few chapters
- took my kids to Old Clinton BBQ(home of the Best BBQ in GA and Gray’s claim to fame)
- had a picnic with my trio
- taught my kids the theme song to “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”
- danced with all my kids
- slept through watched Pinocchio with the big kids
- enjoyed the cool breeze and watched my kids play happily together
- laid in the grass and looked at clouds with the kiddos(and didn’t feel itchy afterwards!)
- laughed at my baby girl wearing mittens because she was cold(It’s 80°. But after months of 100° weather, I guess 80° is relatively cold.)
- had a wonderful, fabulous, beautiful day.
I love the things you did more than the things you didn’t. =)
you go! i didnt do most of the things on either one of your lists…. instead i packed and did the laundry. we are going on vacation tomorrow and you know what its like to get ready to leave town….. thanks for reminding me what really needs to be done!
My day was restful as well. The joy of percocette!! I did fine with my procedure. Thanks for praying for me. I LOVE the kind of day you had with your kids. I wish all families could realize the simple and BEST things in life are free! I LOVE YOU!!
