I’m a mother, daughter, wife, friend, blogger, crafter, Twitter-er(Tweeter?), singer, baker, candlestick maker oops…I just got on a roll there.
I like to read mindless chick lit. I love children’s books. I’m glad that my kids like books, too. Otherwise I’d look silly reading “Guess How Much I Love You” by myself.
I have three kids. And two dogs who are much worse than my kids. But I love ‘em all anyway.
I’ve been married to my husband for 8 years. I love him, too!

Wow…eight years. It’s gone by quickly. Well, the first few years didn’t go so quickly…but that’s a whole post of it’s own. Just know that you shouldn’t graduate from college, get married, move to a new town, get a new job and have your new husband start post-grad studies all at the same time. It’s too much for a girl to handle. Seriously.
I’m someone who over uses the word “seriously”. I also over-use the ellipse…and colons and hypens. It really bothers me me when people say “slash” when they mean “dash” or “hypen”. A slash looks like this: / I really love semi-colons; seriously.
I’m moody and fickle and sometimes a little too brash. Tact often eludes me. Sometimes I realize it; sometimes I don’t. So if I ever hurt your feelings, just tell me. I probably didn’t mean it. And if I did, I’ll tell you so.
For some reason, a lot of people say their favorite thing about me is my blatant honesty. Ironically, if I was really as blatantly honest as I am in my head, I’m pretty sure no one would like me. My brain-to-mouth filter isn’t great, but it catches a lot more things that you’d realize.
I love Diet Coke…but not as nearly as much as Marshall.
I never really understood what “separate but equal” meant until I had more than one kid. I really do love them equally, but each in his or her own way.
I love the way Carter(5) runs his mouth constantly. I don’t know where in the world he would have gotten that trait! I’m always amazed at the things he comes up with; he’s very smart and funny.

Lydia(now 3) is my little princess. She’s girled me up. I still don’t like pink, but I don’t hate it either. I could do without tu-tus and Barbies. But there are definitely not enough tiaras in the world. Every girl deserves a crown. Sassy and prissy and funny and cute. That’s my girl.

And then little Asa(1) is the best baby of them all. He smiles a lot, “talks” a lot, laughs a lot. He loves to try to keep up with his big brother and sister.

So…that’s a glimpse at who I am. A little insight on me. Thanks for dropping by The Ivey League. Take off your shoes and stay awhile.
