8 things about me…

So yeah, I’m a sell-out.  I’m doing another meme.  This time I was tagged by the Peapod Squad’s Mom, and I’m trying to avoid packing anyway.  (The kids and I are headed back to Augusta for a few days.  Our old church is having a women’s seminar, and I’m hoping to see a lot of our Augusta friends.)

8 things should be easy, since I just did 25 on Facebook.  I really am trying to avoid packing, aren’t I?

1. I remember very little about my childhood.  That’s why I blog and scrapbook and take so many pictures now.  I don’t want to forget this.  I want to be able to have something in hand to look at and remember.

2. I want to be an OB/GYN when I “grow up”.  Those two specialties used to be separate, but I’m glad they aren’t now.  I love being in delivery rooms and ORs, and I’m thankful for all the doctors who have let me shadow them.

3. I love to shop.  For anything(except groceries!).  And for anybody.  I love to just browse.  Or search a clearance rack.  Or scour the internet for that perfect, elusive gift.

4. I love being a SAHM eventhough I complain about missing the adult world.  I love being able to cuddle with my babies in the morning while we watch TV.  I love having an excuse to color.  I love reading children’s books.  And I love the pay: kisses.

5. I was a little worried about being a “doctor’s wife”.  I don’t quite fit the profile, and I’m glad of that.  But I’m also glad that Marshall’s job allows me to be a SAHM.  We’re good together like that.

6. I’m glad that we’re now closer to my parents.  Eventhough I don’t think we over-use them(at least I hope not!), it’s nice to have them around.  They’re great babysitters and great friends! (I love you guys!)

7. I’m trying to learn how to accept compliments gracefully, and it’s harder than you’d think.

8. Although there are times that I wonder what my life would be like if I weren’t married with kids, I wouldn’t trade what I have for anything.  I know it’s cliche’d, but I do thank God for all the blessings he’s given me.

Now here are the RULES for this tag:

1. Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

2. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

3. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and to read your blog.

5. For the recipients, leave a comment for the person who tagged you, so they can go and read your answers. Let the fun begin. Tell me more about yourselves so I can get to know you better…

My tag-ees are: my “BlogHer 2009 or Bust” buddy at Citystreams, my sleep-deprived friend Kate at Momopoly, my BFF on her new blog  The English Major, The Mom at Outnumbered, and…crap I’m tired and I’m running out of people to tag.  So tag yourself and keep it going, folks.
