If you’ve been reading this blog for any amount of time, you’ve probably heard me talk about Blissdom.
It is my favorite conference and I look forward to it all year long!
(I missed last year because I was a little busy.)
(I’m still a little bummed that I missed Brené Brown.)
At Blissdom ’09, they announced that they would be doing a Blissdom Canada.
I have always wanted to go to Canada and one day I will make it up there.
(Seems like Blissdom Canada is as good an excuse as any, right?)
As people have made their way back home from Blissdom Canada, I’ve enjoyed watching the posts.
One in particular talked about Catherine Connors’ keynote.
Catherine asked them to write down a few lists of 5 things.
And though they seem like simple little lists, they were harder to write than you’d think.
5 things you don’t know about me
If I could be anyone else other than myself, I would be Julie Andrews.
I don’t really like Halloween.
I love giving gifts.
I have a hard time believing that I’m actually good at something.
I really, really love flying (but not in to/out of ATL).

God loves everyone.
When you have little ones, the days are long but the years are short.
(There’s a reason we have cliches: They’re true.)
I will never have it all figured out.
It’s okay to not have it all figured out.
Laugh a lot – it makes things seem better if even they aren’t.

Favorite things,
1. My husband, seriously he is on this list, just ask my friends. For my 29th birthday they ordered me a cake of CLINT’S FACE. I know he isnt a thing.. but its just my thing for him to be one of my favorite things 🙂
2. peanut butter–God i love PB!
3.Graysen’s shoes. It is so hard for me to get rid of his shoes, especially his Georgia boots. They bring back memories and make memories. You often dont wear the same clothes everyday—but shoes you may. And he loves his boots–LOVES THEM with shorts, jeans, undies only, no undies at all….I love them!
4. The smell of fresh cut grass–on a june afternoon in Georgia..preferably my grass.
5.and water. I love water. I love to drink water, bath in water, swim in water, ski, boat, tube, anything. My husband says i should have been a fish!
Top 5 dislikes—The one thing i dislike the most is mornings between 7-8 when i very much dislike the top five of my favorite things.
Hmmm, five things you may not know about me:
1. I never cooked until we moved here and not really until I got divorced. In Los Angeles, well you can have anything delivered for dinner. I am just now really learning how to cook. At 31 years old.
2. James Taylor and the Dixie Chicks are still my favorites of all time. I never tire of any of their songs.
3. I have horrible teeth, yet I fear the dentist more than anything. So…my teeth just continue to rot in my head.
4. I have an great memory for events. Who was there, what we did, who wore what. But my day to day memory at times can be lacking.
5. The first blog I ever read was Metro Dad. I started blogging around the same time as Her Bad Mother did. In fact, I remember her first post.
Great posts, I’m so intrigued by you now that I’m going to have to spend a bunch of time poking around your blog. I hope I’ll be able to attend more blogging conferences and hopefully we’ll get a chance to meet and talk about our ‘5 things’ amber 🙂
I had never heard of Blissdom until you told me about it. But I do like how they make you think.
